About Us

Mason's Heritage About UsLocated near Queen Anne, MD, the Mason farm has been in the family since 1900. Bill and Susanne Mason are the 4th generation to operate the business. The farm itself consists of 850 acres, most of which is dedicated to grain production. Although the land has always been used for grain, at certain points it has also been used for growing tobacco, dairy cows, and vegetables for a local cannery. The crops currently grown include corn, wheat, soybeans and barley.

Bill began working with his father full-time as soon as he graduated from the University of Maryland. He is the sole operator of the Mason farm and leases two other local farms as well. Although 87 now, Bill's father is still considered a valuable asset to the operation and lends his expertise when needed. The produce business is managed by Susanne and their daughter Kate. Susanne also provides assistance on the farm during their busiest seasons, spring and fall. Kate currently works as a marketing specialist for the Maryland Department of Agriculture in Annapolis. She plans to one day carry on the tradition and operate the family farm.
