Located near Queen Anne, MD, the Mason farm has been in the family since 1890. Bill and Susanne Mason are the 4th generation to operate the business. The farm itself consists of 850 acres, most of which is dedicated to organic grain production. Although the land has always been used for grain, at certain points it has also been used for growing tobacco, growing vegetables for a local cannery, and raising dairy cows. The crops currently grown include corn, wheat, soybeans, and barley.

Bill began working with his father full-time as soon as he graduated from the University of Maryland. He is the sole operator of the Mason farm and leases five other local farms as well. Susanne works in the fields during the farm's busiest times of year, spring and fall, as well as at the produce market during the summer.

The produce market is managed by Bill and Susanne's daughter Kate, the 5th generation to live and work on the farm. Kate received her Bachelor's and Master's degrees from Cornell University. After working for the Maryland Department of Agriculture for four years, she returned to the farm to run the produce business. While at Cornell she met her husband, Steve Kraszewski, who grew up on his family's beef farm in Corning, NY. Steve works full-time for Bill and also helps Kate with all aspects of the produce business. Kate and Steve have a son, William, and a daughter, Rosa, who both love running around the farm at full speed.
